For the reader who…
“is comfortable and happy looking around at books that are not necessarily familiar and is not sure about what he or she wants.”
Years in business: 12.5
Fun fact: I am a one-person operation, and I am not on social media—and have no "smart" phone.
Experience our community: Hopewell has a lot of open-space trails, and a very nice park that is walking distance from the shop. There are good independently owned and operated places for lunch and a good number of interesting antique shops--as well as the shop that shares my building, which sells gifts made by craftspeople from around the country.
“The Bear and the Books is a children's bookstore, with books for children through the young adult years. The stock is carefully chosen and I am here and happy to help with suggestions. I like to say that store is full of good books to grow up with that not everyone knows: a high percentage of the books are a bit off the beaten path of books usually seen.”
