Fun fact: [words] Bookstore has been nationally recognized for its service to the autism community, specifically our vocational training program for those on the autism spectrum as well as our dedication to families in the community that have a member with a developmental disability. For its service to the special needs community, our store has been profiled on multiple media outlets including Good Morning America.

About our community: Maplewood has great small-town vibes with easy access from the city. Lots of great places for coffee and treats and a good bite to eat!

Located in the heart of downtown Maplewood, [words] Bookstore has served as a a community hub since opening its doors in 2009 and was recently recognized by Publisher’s Weekly as one of the top bookstores in the country. Our bookstore is a key participant in community wide events throughout the year, and is host to nearly 100 book talks each year, most of which are free.
